Covid day 6
Thank you for all the good wishes on the previous post. They were very much appreciated. I'm feeling pretty much entirely recovered by now.
I had a couple of days of feeling Really Quite Grim, although still in the 'bad cold' rather than 'flu' category, and a couple more of feeling slightly under the weather, but today I'm basically symptom-free, and am going to get back to work. It's possible that when I actually try using my brain for an extended period that I'll find myself getting more tired than usual, and I've given myself permission to stop and rest if I feel even slightly as though I need it.
Annoyingly, this morning's LFT is still very firmly positive - like, the test line appeared so quickly and so thick that there was only just enough dye left to make a control line, so I remain a prisoner. It is looking as though the rest of the household may have escaped. Certainly
robert_jones is fine, and has tested negative a few times (and has been very generous in running errands and looking after us).
obandsoller has the symptoms of a nasty cold, but has been consistently testing negative, and also his symptoms started the same day as mine, despite him not being with me in either of the places I think it most likely I caught it, so my guess is that he in fact has a nasty cold.
In many ways the intra-household isolation is the worst bit of this, and I am very much looking forward to being able to cuddle my husband again.

This is
diffrentcolours too. Ugh.
And
mother_bones did test negative at first despite having symptoms and thinking she had it. I think the LFTs aren't as good at detecting the new strains.
And yes all the sympathy on the intra-house isolation.
