Gratitude

I've been feeling a bit flat the last couple of days for no particularly discernable reason, so here are some things I am grateful for or that are making me happy. If you would like to share your small joys or say nice things about me in the comments, that would be lovely.

- Last week I 'met' with [personal profile] hjdoom and we played 'Lost Cities', a new-to-us game on Board Game Arena, which we both really liked.
- I made sourdough pizza again yesterday, and it's getting better every time.
- Also my left-over bread bread, whilst still a long way from perfect, is getting a lot more like bread and less like a pancake.
- I'll be able to go to Mass on Sunday.
- Next week I'm going to visit [personal profile] leonato, and the next day my parents are going to drive over to York so we can meet up for a picnic.
- After a slightly disappointing attempt at purple last week, I've dyed my hair bright red and it came out really well. And because I also recently dyed [personal profile] obandsoller's hair bright green, he keeps pretending that we are anime arch-nemesisisises, which make me giggle.
- Lots of lovely people were kind enough to indulge me hamming it up ridiculously as the lead in Oscar Wilde's The Duchess of Padua last weekend.
- Patrick Stewart's Sonnet-A-Day project has restarted.

The Met is finally having a decent version of Don Giovanni up from about 11pm tomorrow evening - in sixteen weeks of having a different one every day, they've only had one poor (visually, audibly, direction) one.

I have played - eek - just over 4,500 games of Lost Cities on YourTurnMyTurn. One of the things I like about it is, because of the element of luck, even the best players only have a win:loss ratio of about 60:40, and I did quite well at it. I see one rival is getting close to my number of tournament wins, so I'll have to play a couple more to pull ahead again :)
