Loooong day, but a good day.
Oof, that was a long day! I completely forgot about things like lunch and breaks, and just worked straight through from seven am until half six in the evening. I really shouldn't do that too often...
It was as least partly though because the work was unusually engaging. Even the meetings were relatively productive, and between them I was able to spend most of the day working uninterrupted on a creative project.
Okay, it was a spreadsheet. But it was a really good spreadsheet! Spreadsheets can totally be exciting, alright.
I will spare you the details of exactly what was so exciting about it, but partly I'm as pleased as I am because I managed to build from scratch in a single day something that I reckon could reasonably be expected to take at least a week. And I even managed to make it pretty future-proof and scalable, and have lots of ideas for shiny bonus features that I can add the next time that I'm able to spend most of a day working uninterrupted on a creative project.... Maybe sometime in December?

I'm right there with you on spreadsheets. As a decidedly non-crafty person, they are my version of crafting.

I like a good spreadsheet! I'm a bit notorious for them.
On the other hand, my data tends to be better than anyone else's!

Hurray for having engaging work to do.
