Birthday readthrough and new flat
Aug. 1st, 2018 11:52 amIt was my birthday last week, and I think I'm now officially in my late thirties. On Saturday I had a small party, and we did a readthrough of A Woman of No Importance, which was a lot of fun. I think the Wilde comedies make quite good readthrough plays, as they've got a decent number of medium-sized parts, and are more about the words than the action. Everyone there was lovely, but it was especially good to catch up with my friend Seph, who I met whilst I was working in Oxford, and haven't actually managed to see in person since I left. He even let me drag him to church the next morning, which was good; I like getting to share the important things in my life.
The other good thing last week is that I found a flat I like in Birmingham, and will be moving in next week, so I've got a stable place to stay and won't have to drag quite so much stuff back and forth from London to Birmingham. It's a studio, but with separate alcoves for sleeping and living space, and right next to New Street Station, so pretty convenient for work, and very convenient if anyone wanted to come and visit me.
