I think it may apply to a lot of us, and sadly having the realisation isn't in itself enough to fix the problem, but it's a start. One thing I found helpful is the reminder that I'm not trying to distinguish between activities that are good and activities that are not good (because that would be easy, and we'd just get rid of the not good stuff), but between things that are good and things that are better and best. Internalising that can make letting go of the good things a bit easier.
