Goals

So I've completed my first attempt at quarterly goal setting, and I feel like it's been more useful than working on annual goals, and that I've learned a few things for the next quarter.

Goals achieved
Review spending against budget each month
Quarterly spending in discretionary categories below £X (with a bit left over that I added to my Christmas present money)
Run at least 195 km each quarter (although quite a lot of it was in the last fortnight)
Keep up my duolingo streak
Private goal (I decided to discard this goal, because it was results rather than process based, but then achieved it anyway)
Quit Facebook
Quit Twitter
Make a plan for St John's singers for the next year, and prepare adequately for all sessions this quarter
Thronescamp scripts
Engage an architect to start planning rebuild of extension (Technically this isn't done yet, but I did all the things I needed to do, we're just waiting for the architects.)

Goals not achieved
Do at least one session (at least 20 min) of core strengthening exercise each week. (Started well, but lost momentum and couldn't get it back.)
Private goal (I definitely made some headway with this, and will be making another attempt at a slightly refined version of it this quarter)
Music practice on at least 5 days/week: Not done - like the core exercises it started pretty well, but then got derailed and didn't get back on track. I managed 52/65

So 10/13 achieved, and considerable progress on the other three feels like a much better hit rate than I was getting with annual goals. And of course there were various other things that either happened unexpectedly, or I diverted energy towards because I got excited about different things, and also life happened and ate my executive function, I think more than it typically does, so I think it's worth recording those things as well, so I can do a comparison at the end of the next quarter.

Things achieved that weren't in the original goal set
Quite a bit of work on my French
Post-wedding admin
Wrangling the church's response to the flood in Queen's Drive
Various appointments with Autism Service
Writing Dreamwidth entries about the wedding and first part of the honeymoon

Things that took up emotional energy and left me with less executive function for other stuff
Aaaaaall the autism feels (this was the biggest one)
Looking for a singing teacher, and the emotional fallout from being told I can't sing.
Getting broken up with unexpectedly.
