Apparently the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts is actively considering the possibility of virtual Euchasrist with remote consecration of elements. Though as +Gates says, "remote consecration of elements at a distant location would constitute a significant change in our theology and practice. And in our church such important changes are not made individually, locally or impulsively. Rather, we consider such changes collectively, communally and deliberately."
I can't say I have thought and reflected on the Eucharist sufficiently to form a clear opinion.
