Thank you for all the supportive comments on the last post - it helped silence the annoying "am I just being oversensitive" voices that have an irritating habit of making themselves heard at times like this.
Today has been a lot nicer. We have some new bells in church, after the previous set went missing a few weeks back, and they are much easier to ring at the same time as censing, which is useful when you're the only server, as I was today. After Mass I went to my sister's for lunch, and we spent a lovely few hours nattering about life, the universe and everything. I may have said this before, but I continue to be struck and delighted by how good our relationship has become in recent years. Not that it was ever difficult, but for quite a long time it was relatively distant and superficial, and I think we both felt that we didn't really have all that much in common. Then a few years ago we ended up living within a short walk of one another largely by chance, and started spending more time together, and getting to really know one another again as adults. Now she's one of my closest friends, and it makes me really happy.
Later in the afternoon I watched a couple of episodes of Star Trek with![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
obandsoller, and then had a brief nap before dinner. Now I'm going to have a nice long bath, and start reading Akala's new YA novel before an early night.
