So, you know how I said the other day that I had decided that I could justify running a slightly longer route to the hospital for my pre-surgery Covid test to minimise the time running along a busy pavement, but not adding in some extra loops around the park? That was absolutely the right decision, because shortly after I got home I got a call from them apologising, and saying that they'd just noticed that I was supposed to have a blood test as well as the swab, and could I come back again. So I'm about to set out on my second eight mile round trip of the day, and might feel slightly less cheerful about that if the first one had been twelve or fifteen instead...
