I had a lovely relaxing weekend visiting
bunnypip and family, with very little in the way of demands on our time. We ate delicious homely food, courtesy of Martha, and the three of us that do went to church. And otherwise we just sat around chatting and (in my case) knitting, and it was just delightful. I felt so comfortable and welcome in their charmingly eccentric new house. One of the kids absentmindedly called me
sfred, which amused and flattered me in equal measure.
It was nice going to church somewhere where I could just worship without having to worry about this, that, and the other, and they had a Candlemas Carol Service in the evening, so I went to that on my way home and enjoyed a good sing.
I'm only really back in London for about a week, and then next Monday evening I head off towards Wales, where I've booked a retreat at St Beuno's, which I'm hoping to use to do some more exploration of my vocation, as well as the usual abundance of spiritual rest and joy that flows so freely there.
