So I guess the high point of my weekend was being on stage with this charming gentleman...
Last night Ramesh & I went to see "Ian MacKellen with Shakespeare, Tolkien, Others, and You", which he put on as a fundraiser for my local theatre - basically him talking about his life, and reading some of his favourite poems and speeches. It was absolutely glorious, and there was the chance to buy tickets for dinner with him afterwards, which is where I got the (distinctly unflattering to me, but what can you do?) selfie. He did a bit at the end of the show with a spoof version of the victory speech from H5, and had audience members come up and play the dead Frenchmen. I am entirely made of squee :)
