Right. Next week we'll start doing Good Omens. There are six episodes, and we'll do them two at a time, with different casting for each episode. I'm planning on these being alternate weeks, with other readthroughs as yet to be determined on the inbetween weeks. Please fill in the poll if you think you're likely to come to any of them, but I'll do further polls to confirm attendance for the later ones closer to the time.

There's a list of significant characters on Wikipedia. Can you let me know any other casting preferences, especially for the first couple of episodes, in the comments.

I think I'd do Crowley very badly (I might not be able to keep a straight face); but I'd love to try.

On the other hand I'd really like to be Sister Mary Loquacious. Otherwise my preferred people are Beelzebub, War, and Michael; and *not* Hastur, Ligur, or Sandalphon. Why do I have such Strong Opinions, who knows?

oh, and I have no objection to reading God; but no especial desire to.

Is it possible to sit in on an episode and just watch?

Out of interest, will this be based on the radio series or the TV series?

I have no particular role preferences that I can think of.

I find myself unduly alarmed by these decisions and have put them in my to-do list for Thursday.

Done!

I would particularly like to be the angry neighbourhood watch man, whatever episode THAT happens in.

Squeeeeee Good Omens! Can't wait. I would rather play adults / angels / demons than children. And this series has such wonderful small parts I'm happy with a bunch of small roles. I think I possibly have a slight squick about playing God / VoG; it's not a deep theological objection because otherwise I wouldn't take part in GO at all, but I would probably prefer you cast someone else.

I want to do this SO MUCH! Thankyou for making them every other week, otherwise it wouldn't work at all... As it is, I'm so tempted. I'll think about it!

Okay fuck it. I'll need a backup but I'm game. Cast me. Would love Crowley, Aziraphale, Madame Tracy, Agnes, God, Pippin.

I am super excited about this though some smaller parts are probably better given I haven't done any of your readthroughs before. Also the last of these is getting a bit close to our due date which is why I haven't ticked eps 5+6, but of course that's kind of unknowable in advance ...

What time of day does this happen? I'm tempted, but fear I'm in the wrong time zone.

Crowley would be more fun, but I'd no doubt be better at Aziraphale, which I think comes out as 'slightly prefer Crowley'.

When we do an in-person readthrough, I'd like to play Adam, because it's my next favourite part after A&C. I'm not sure whether that means I want to play Adam in this readthrough, but it probably does, especially if we're doing radio scripts for one and TV scripts for the other.

I would quite like to play Agnes Nutter or War.

I have a vague preference against playing Pepper. I think I might have a vague preference against playing Anathema, but I can't remember why. Maybe it's the accent. Speaking of which, my Scottish one tends toward the atrocious, so probably not Shadwell.

Shadwell, is almost required to have a terrible accent

I think apart from Crowley I like Anathaema, Beelzebub, Madame Tracy and Death, in no particular order. But any part at all would be lovely.

Sorry I can't make this weekend, hope I'll be able to make the next two.

Obviously it's Good Omens, so everyone loves all the parts, but particularly awesome parts are Anathaema (although you won't get an accent, so that may not be the casting you are looking for), Adam, Newt, Pepper, God/the book (I still love narration so much! But everyone else may be bored of me after the endless pages of the Admirable Crichton...) and if these are the TV scripts, Michael/Gabriel. Also the postman who summons the four horsemen is cool.

eeee Good Omens!

"slightly prefer Crowley" but only very very slightly. (I have in fact been Aziraphale once already, for cosplay purposes, but as it was with doop I didn't really have a choice; clearly doop is far far better suited to Crowley than to Aziraphale.)
(edit to add: given current direction of polling, consider me a "don't mind either way", if that makes life easier)
