After having to rearrange this week's readthrough, I'm going to see if I can better match plays to interest level and availability in the future, so here are some things that I'm considering doing, and some dates. Responses to this poll won't be taken as commitment. Also, any further suggestions of things to read very gratefully accepted.

(I am supposed to work Saturdays, and whilst I can skive off, being as I am my own boss, it is not a good idea as I never, ever, manage to make it up on a Sunday.)

1/2 August I am 'at' worldcon, so on NZ time, so maybe not... depends how up for sleep deprivation I am.

A HAAAAANDBAG.

Thanks for doing this poll, and for keeping going with organising the read-throughs, which I am very much enjoying. I'm generally happy to read anything so I've opted for not filling in anything in the first poll rather than filling everything in - please let me know if that messes with your system and I'll change it.

I would love to do a read-through of The Lady's Not For Burning by Christopher Fry, although I note that the script's around £12 on Kindle, which might drop it down the queue somewhat.

One (Gutenberg-available) play which was fun when I saw it, though I don't know (a) if it translates to our audience, and (b) how much the RSC had mucked about with it, was A Mad World, My Masters by Thomas Middleton.
I also very much enjoyed London Assurance by Dion Bouccicault, but I know that had been mucked about with by Nick Hytner.
Last one - an old chestnut, but if many people have scripts kicking about, might Arcadia by Tom Stoppard be worth a bash?

I also suggest "a very english scandal" which BBC writers room has the production scripts for

2nd of August is my birthday weekend hence the awayness on that date

A Very English Scandal would be great, yes.

BBC Writers Room also have several Dr Who scripts, which as a fan I'd be interested in. Ones I think might work well include Blink, or either of the Sarah Dollard ones (Face the Raven or Thin Ice).

Oh, and the shooting script for Pride. I wouldn't promise to be able to read through that without bawling, but it could be good.

25th July I have a virtual doctor's appointment. If the test results I'm waiting for are boring that probably means 'yes if you don't mind me potentially being a couple of minutes late while I change video calls', whereas if they aren't then it's probably a no.

I haven't been doing as many of these as I'd ideally like because I find them tiring and (weirdly) get a bit anxious about having to remember to do a specific thing at a specific time because I think I'll forget or something or the tech won't work.

I do want to though

Just dropping an explicit note here that, having originally said I can do all weekends, I now can't do 27 July (trip to London to pick stuff up from the office) or 16 August (tech-ing Zoom for BiCon).
