I am back home after 35 days away at St Beuno's, 28 of which were spent in silent prayer, doing the Spiritual Exercises of St Ignatius. I will try to write a bit more about the experience in the coming days, but for now suffice to say that I feel like a completely new person, and yet more myself than I have ever been.
The retreat includes a couple of "repose days" during which you can come out of silence, and I did (perhaps unwisely) skim Dreamwidth during those days, but it was only a very quick skim, so if there's anything you're particularly keen for me to see and/or respond to, it would be great if you could link it in the comments.
Wonderful though it has been, I'm very glad to be home now, and looking forward to encountering the world again, as this new version of me.
