I will probably write more about my surgery in a later post, probably locked, but the short version is that it went well, and I was quite sore for a few days, but by now I'm just a little bit sore and mostly back to normal. One of the things I did whilst I was recovering was finish the final couple of squares of a blanket that I've been crocheting for the last two years. I have immensely enjoyed making it, and I'm really pleased with how it's turned out, but...
...so it was one of those projects that I started because the pattern looked fun and interesting, rather than because I have any particular use for the finished article, nor did I have any particular recipient in mind. So would anyone like (either for themselves, or to give to someone else who you think would appreciate it) a large (approx 7ft square) crocheted blanket? It would work as a sofa or bed throw, or as a picnic blanket. It's an 80/20 acrylic/wool mix, so if either of those fabrics disagree with you then it might not be for you, but on the plus side that does make it machine washable.

Please don't be shy about saying that you'd like it, even if you don't know me very well, even if it's for someone else whom I've never met. It is, I think, a rather lovely object, but it's one where for me the pleasure was all in making it rather than owning it, but I'd get even more pleasure from knowing that someone else was enjoying the end result.
